So I've been looking for some games to play/buy but sadly do not own a Xbox360, a PS2 or PS3 (mine was destroyed), or a PC with which can play games on. I do have a Wii, every gameboy system except the DSi, and a Nintendo 64. Now I was bored and was watching a walkthrough of Bioshock and I thought to myself, "Wow. This is an awesome game. Too bad I don't have the system for it."
Now my question is, are there any games like Bioshock for the systems that I have? Any games where I can choose the ending I want or the missions that I take?

System Shock 2 is right up your alley... it's a PC game but it's from 1999 so chances are you can run it...

The choice in endings of Bioshock is pretty poor and the game is actually fairly linear. Metroid Prime probably feels a little more open. I can't really think of many games like that unless you go into rpgs on the DS. You could just get the cube versions of Timesplitters 2 & 3 if you want a decent shooter.

I'll have to say this also, I can't remember who said it but someone said Bioshock is like a spiritual successor to System Shock 2.

I believe that was Warren Spector the lead designer to System Shock...

I believe it was Yahtzee

EDIT:

Oh, and also, play Deus Ex. Old game. Epic for its time. Plenty of different endings.

The game was actually advertised as the spiritual successor of System Shock to some extent... a little timeline was released showing the history of FPSRPGs and it made sure to point this out...

I like this thread because the typo in the title makes you sound like Mario.

Yeah it was Yahtzee who said the Bio/Systemshock thing. It's true though. I think they were developed by the same people maybe? Can't remember. Anyway if that kind of genre is really what you want to play, sell your Wii and buy a 360. Seems like most shooter-survival-rpg-whatever hybrids are always on 360 and nothing else.

Yeah, but Yahtzee still said it...

Its a system hog on older systems, be careful there.

I'd recommend getting XCOM off of steam. No way in hell you can't run it,and its about as free form as it gets.

Also, KOTOR. Always KOTOR.

Well System Shock 2 is basicly BioShock set in Cyper-Punk and much more challenging. It is made by large by the same team that made BioShock.

Half-Life 1 and it's mods are awesome too and give Deus Ex and some old-school RPG's like Fallout and Planescaoe a try.

I believe it was everyone who realised that both were called something shock and were pretty similar and made by the same person.
Yeah, but I wouldn't've been surprised if the person I had quoted was referring to Yahtzee, as he is a pretty well known person around these parts.

Anyway, yeah, they were similar. I mean, Bioshock was basically reskinned System Shock 2.

I'm gonna go install System Shock 2.

System Shock 2.

I've never played it, but I've heard that it's similar to Bioshock.
..err...or should it be Bioshock is similar to it?
