...and it was an amazing game. Now it's gotten me in the mood for more fantasy style action RPGs/Dungeon Crawls. Can anyone recommend me any good games similar to Risen, or Oblivion, or Morrowind?

suppose you could try one of the fable games, but it isnt nearly as sandbox as oblivion or morrowind. i havn't played risen though so i can't make the best comparison :p

I've played Witcher, Dragon Age, and both Fables, lol. I'm seriously running out of games to choose from ><.

I heard the more recent Gothics (III and IV) were horribly buggy. Is II better? I thought about trying them.

if your just talking about open world character building, there's mount and blade. its a pc exclusive so what it might be totaly irrelevent. it doesn't have any magic but it has a "troop command" esscence to it. its kinda like a small battle from "medieval total war", "elder scrolls", and "kingdom under fire" had an oddly maleformed baby.

Nice list Dexter. I played the vast majority of then, but I would like to try Drakensang, Gothic 1 and 2(if I can find them anywhere ><), and I've been getting the weird urge to rebuy all the NWN2 games after playing through Dragon Age multiple times.

i glad you liked it. Many people stuck on presentation level and cant see the rpg goodness.

As for recommendation, i m playin Divinity 2. It's good. But before that consider Dexter111 recommendations, i vouch for all.

If you can find it, I'd also recommend Arx Fatalis, another of the 'definitely flawed but still fun' European RPGs.

Yeah you definatley need to play the games Dexter listed. Some of those (fallout and bg sereies) are my favorite games of all time.

As for games similar to Risen I can't think of any that haven't already been stated. Open world first/third person rpg's are probable my favorite
You could try Dark messiah of Might and Magic. It's very linear but it has an interesting environment based combat system: kick people into conveniently placed spikes, drop things on people, etc. It would be nice to see these things incorporated into other rpg's
