I borrowed the DVD from my friend. If I had a time machine and could only use it once in my entire life. I would use it to go back those three hours and not watch it.
First of all, that's a fucking waist of a time machine, and secondly, which movie are you talking about?

That's because the Transformers series itself sucks, no offence to anybody but transforming robots lost their appeal to me 11 years ago (and I'm 18). If something sucks, then no amount of hot girls and explosions or any other fancy cinematic can change that.

While I don't really think it's the worst movie ever (seriously Epic movie and Disaster Movie were way worse IMO)it's really bad and insulting and it made money simply because Megan Fox is in it.

I really did not like that film. Besides the point it had no regard for the fans of the series it is just poorly made.

The plot is nonsensical for such a LONG movie due to problems behind the scenes (so the final act in the desert comes out of nowhere), for such a large cast there are only about 3 characters who aren't comic relief, it is poorly acted, the robot designs are uninspired (the thin T-1000 robot was ok), there are plot canyons you could fly Astrotrain down, and many other issues.

Seriously, if Germany is allowed to deny that the holocaust ever happened then America should be able to use their one legal denial on whatever Michael Bay squirts out.
I thought Holocaust denial was a very serious crime in Germany. We need to learn from these movies not forget about them.

Sure it was bad, but I'd rather watch it five times than see The Informant!, The American, or The International again. Come to think of it, maybe I should just avoid movies starting with "The" in the future.

I saw Transformers 2 for my birthday and was disappointed. I kind of liked the first one. The second one was pretty bad, but ok for a largish group of people to see and then laugh at afterwards.

Edit: Oh, also, I didn't give a damn about Transformers as a kid. Sure they were cool and I watched the show a few times, but I didn't watch much TV to begin with. I was a Lego kid. If Michael Bay made a Lego movie and messed it up, I'd be pissed, too, so I get where you're coming from.

Very good outlook. Really changed the way I criticize this movie, and other movies too. I think that the director in movies some times gets too much credit. Weather it was good or bad. Thanks for the input.
No problem! The way I see it, remember how in school there would always be these projects that you were required to do, and there was a due date? You ever have a project where the outcome didn't end up like you had originally planned due to lack of communication with your partner(s) or some one slacked off and the rest of the team had to make up for it?

That's how I see Transformers 2, or any movie in general.

I saw both films back-to-back yesterday, and I have to say I was actually surprised by how much I liked it. After hearing so many people bash it and hate on it, I almost thought I was watching something completely different. Shia LaBeouf wasn't that terrible, but there were times that Megan Fox had bad lines/poor execution, however it didn't detract from my overall experience.

My honest opinion is that people should watch the first one definitely, and maybe the second one. The second story was a little weaker, but I don't think either of them are the worst films evar!

I enjoy films for what they are -- Entertainment. At least with Transformers, the plot actually dealt with heroes vs. villains -- unlike The Dark Knight which forgot what its purpose was. In the end I came out of Transformers happy and triumphant, and The Dark Knight I came out with bitter hatred of humanity.

I guess my tastes will always be at odds with the world, and that's alright with me.

That.

To think they're making another one is human tragedy. This one doesn't even have Megan Fox. It'll be like watching a series of car crashes.

The second one. I love the first one.

Tranformers 2 is the WORST MOVIE EVER MADE.

The film infuriates me beyond belief, a complete pile of cinematic shite.
Ha HA!

It most certainly isn't. That honor goes to a little movie called Plan 9 From Outer Space.

That movie makes Transformers 2 look like a fucking masterpiece.

Hahahahaha.....Worst movie of all time.....Kids these days.....

(That was a joke. Seriously though. Plan 9 is way worse.)

I have seen it.
I'm well versed in the best and worst of cinema and planet 9 was nowhere near a disgrace to film-making than Transformers 2.

Michael Bay has made the most intellectually insulting, pointless, stupid, crude, overly-long abortion of what I hate to call a film. I was literally fuming about that movie for weeks and I have never reacted that way over a film.

Planet 9 was just badly made with a low budget and it is the more hilarious for it. At least Ed Wood genuinely did want to make good films but he just wasn't good at it.
Bay is the big budget Uwe Boll. Nuff said.

Hey, John Landis can make a series of car crashes into a fucking awesome movie.

Anyway, yes, the Transformers movies are shit, the squishies are annoying (I know there have to be squishies, but they could write less annoying ones), and the robots have no character except when they're being annoying.

And even worse, they basically killed Transformers: Animated when it was getting awesome so they could sell more shitty movie toys (did I mention the toys are shitty as well, especially compared to the TF: Animated ones, which basically commit actual witchcraft in getting show accuracy, because surely the laws of physics should have prevented them.)

I actually liked the 1st Transformers film, though I did think it was a lil rushed near the end.

The second started off okay but died very quickly.

I think of giant transforming robots beating the shit out of eachother, not humans interacting with said giant robots. Hell, I can only think of ONE human from the cartoons that did NOT get on my tits (Sari from Transformers: Animated)
Same here. although, Sari technically isn't a human so i guess she may be ruled out.

The first one was alright, no fantastic but watchable.
Hell, I went in expecting nothing more than some cheap robot fighting and yet I was still horribly dissapointed
