The AI is terrible in all of the games. At least in ME1 you can get them OP enough so that their huge stats outweighs their lack of intelligence. Seriously, Liara and Wrex get OP as shit.

Feels like any ME game, Every time I make an order it's like "just fucking stay there" or "over there you fucking idiot" spend a few seconds standing there just to make sure that they stay or go in the right place pressing the order button like it was some stick.

To be perfectly honest, I found myself basically ignoring the AI in all 3 Mass Effect games, lol. I upgraded their equipment whenever I could, but otherwise I only directed them when they were in my way or I wanted to keep them out of my way. Otherwise, I just fought like I was on my own, only stopping to heal them every now and then. Probably not the best way to do it, but it's a habit I formed in the first game that seems to have stuck all the way through the series.

To be honest didn't notice the terrible AI last time played through, but it is funny how many stats and abilities there are, i am glad they scaled that back some what for ME2.
