I know, way late to the party. But I bought the GOTY edition a few years ago and just never really played it.

So anyway, I'm playing it, having a bit of fun, and then I get out into the big world, and I get myself to Megaton and I went into a church and...I accidentally stole a spoon...and then these church guys started beating the hell out of me.

So I tried running, and before I know it the entire town of Megaton is shooting me, and whenever I died, it reloaded me outside the church where everyone still wants to kill me.

...the people of Megaton REALLY like their spoons.

Did you attack back? If so, that's why you've started a war.

Best course of action? Make a dramatic escape and choose to blow up MegaTon. Time to be a renegade!

I find that running for my life out of Megaton and then just walking around the outside of Megaton once is enough for everyone to calm down and forgive you.

I always found it amusing that you can be right up to your weight limit and move around without a problem but you pick up one item that puts you just 1 over your weight limit and suddenly you move like an artheritic slug.

I really should start playing the Fallout games again.

If you take my advice and go full renegade, remember.... It all started because of a spoon.

as for advice either load an old save or if that doesn't work you can just run away then come back in afew days and all should be forgiven.

I tried getting out of Megaton, but the barrage of bullets between the church to the entrance was just too much for my guy lol

Am I the only one who immediately loads a save the second something goes wrong?

A bad habit we both share.
I always want to make a "true" playthrough with living with all the consequences for my acts, teammembers or beloved units dying. But I always end up pushing F9.
Quickload. A bad habit.
