Ah I lost it many moons ago; before I was even a year of age in fact. Eye cancer was the cause. It's simply that I now want to get a custom one to go with my normal one that matches my 'good' eye. So yeah, it's just one. I certainly don't need to wear two prosthetics.

Most of all tho, I'd like to say congrats for being so damned optimistic about this.

Not nearly enough people lose a body part and thing 'Cool, this is my chance to personalise myself!' and I commend you, I think if I so much as lost a toe I'd sit indoors crying for about a week, so it's great to see such positivity.

That information kinda changes the reason for you posting that I'm afraid. But thanks, it made me feel pretty awesome about myself. When not considering the whole part about it not being quite as inspirational as that anyway.

Still the way I see it, you've got something 'different' going on, and you're not complaining that everyone else has it better, you're finding that upside and making the most of it, and I commend you for it.

I remember listening to an interview with Adam Hills, Aussie comic, who has a prosthetic foot, and his mother told him, when he asked why he only had one foot, that he was just a trade in for being smarter than all the other kids, but not to tell them as they'll just get jealous, which I think's a great way to handle it.
