...and I am getting it filmed. The company that I'm doing it with allows us to pick the song that will play during the jump. The problem I'm facing (Also the point of this thread) is that I can't decide what song I want to play during the jump. So I'm turning to you my fellow Escapists, what song should play during my first Skydive?

If it is of any help I don't like Country or Heavy metal. And no I am not doing Free Falling.

EDIT: Due to the number of posts Ive seen I am open to the idea of heavy songs, I just dont enjoy the kind where its all screaming and you cant understand what they are saying. And I am still not using Tom PEttys Free Falling.

I wouldn't recommend anything involving death. That is all.

How about nothing?

I'd rather have the actual sound of the jump preserved.

Not that I would ever go skydiving. If the parachute doesn't deploy, your fucked. But it's not like you die a second later. You have to wait for your inevitable doom as you plummet helplessly towards the ground.

It's Raining Men by the Weather Girls?

Really, if I were you, I'd pick something heavy. Heavy music is great when you're experiencing an adrenaline rush.

Parachute, by Something Happens
or
Rocket Man, Elton John

I dunno, that's what I'd pick :)

So am I in September. Wonder if it will get filmed or not...

Anyway, you need something fast and loud. You could just for the classic "Queen-Don't Stop Me Now" but it's way over used. I was thinking "Arctic Monkey-Brain Storm". It's certainly fast enough.

I asked about doing that, they said it would just be wind noise, couldnt hear any voices at all.

I'll upload it to Youtube and post the link then. I go on the 13th. So I'll probably get it up that next weekend.

Getting it filmed is costing us an extra $90 apiece... and as of now Arctic Monkeys is looking like a good suggestion!
