Oh boy, I have been waiting for this!
The only thing I shot off about this was on Twitter, and even then it was mostly in a professional sense.
*Cracks knuckles*
Okay, time to get to the meat.
The whole DLC was neat being free, yet I am pretty sure this was suppose to make people keep playing it. Yet SP makes us go off the console for a certain amount of time and do a couple of puzzles. Okay these puzzles were fun for the first two parts, but then they just became annoying, and heck they even repeated some of them towards the end.
There were console activities, sure, but they were just follow missions and a few special ones which wasn't much.
It was annoying when I boil it all down and say, "Hey, I barely played on there!"
So, after weeks of puzzle, investigating, and console following what do we get as a reward?
Costumes and a bit of plot.
... is that it?
No cool power?
Just some costumes that you get heaps for taking over the districts!
That is just disappointing, the gameplay was fun for a while, then it just got frustrating and repetitive.
And there was barely a reward.
The whole thing just didn't justify itself.
Sure it was free, and that is great, but it wasn't fun free DLC.
After all of that ... phew ... all I want to say is that I hope SP bring out some nice large expansions which give us more (epic) plot, more characters/more investment in characters, new settings (Seriously that "Current Location" thing on the map makes me think we're going to gain more cities.) and obviously more powers.
They better not be working on the new game because Second Son is NOT finished. Overall the game was fun, but the fun runs out too quickly ... and the story just isn't Infamous worthy.
Sucker Punch, I love Infamous. I loved the first two games, they were big, fun, and epic.
Second Son feels like a disappointment ... especially to Cole.
Please don't leave us on this note. I don't want to start disliking this series.
