Just a silly story to tell, I find it amusing, so this isn't sour grapes.
So I have had an old Gamefaq's account for nearly a decade now. Got modded maybe once or twice. Ever tried to fight a moderation there? I got in trouble for making a post declaring one of the Smackdown! wrestling games sucked and giving what was essentially a review, my bitching about how annoyingly painful the attribute distribution system was (you actually had to wrestle in a ton of matches to not only make your created guy stronger, but fighting crusierweights would unintentionally allow a your created wrestler to do spring boards.... which is a pain in the ass if your trying to create Goldberg). Anyway long story short, I was marked for trolling.
I tried to argue against it, stating how it clearly wasn't trolling.... and as I'm sure you all know the mods there plan just don't give a fuck. They're like southern cops pulling over black drivers just to harass them.
Anyway aside from that I mostly keep my nose clean. Apparently I've had a few posts deleted for TOS, but I genuinely never trolled or been a dick... Aside from maybe once on the Twisted Metal boards where people where complaining about a glitch that allowed for infinite weapons in the main game, the complain to Dave Jaffe and got it removed. I'm pretty good at keeping my nose clean on message boards.
ANYWAY, so the other day I'm looking up an obscure Digimon game for the Wonderswan console. The board was long since abandoned... I figured for a social experiment, Let me make a post censor bypassing and see how long if at all it takes for me to get in trouble for it. since... ya know, it be on a really dead part of the site where almost no one ventures.
So I make the following post:
"2012-07-15 01:12:35: Gee I wonder if anyone would care if I cursed?
Dead board for a dead console. I'm going to censor bypass and see if I get modded just for the fun of it.
Ready?
F uck
s hit
mother f uckers"
And right after clicking post I'm staring face to face with an Account Suspension until the administrator gets around to deciding my punishment.... which kinda feels lame, cause it ruins my social experiment.
So..... What do you think will happen to my account? I'll be frank, I really don't care, I just find it amusing that clearly they have some sort of system in place that automatically knows when you censor bypass. Also what do you all think of the Gamefaqs notorious mods?
