For all the good that Shenmue gave the world, QTEs are not a part of it

Apart from them, Tomb Raider was great

She's also the best bowman in the entire world, apparently(I have good aim D=).
That's the other thing that bothers me about the game. The fact that lara is suddenly an expert at using a bow and arrow, a weapon which is well known for taking a lot of time and effort to be able to use proficiently. One of the reasons the crossbow exists because it took so long to train a good archer.

And not even the courtesy of dropping a line about lara having grown up using a bow and arrow(unless I missed it somewhere).
That is really open to interpretation. Maybe she really liked archery and practiced it to no end. Same foes for firearms. And yes, all that shooting bothered me, but it has usable explanation if you use your imagination a bit. Also, often games have huge disagreement between gameplay and story, where gameplay is compromised story-wise to make game fun. I don't really have problem with that even though i really appreciate when someone goes out of his way to sinc them. Her wounds on the other hand...

I remember thinking that it was pretty unrealistic, but I didn't think much of it because not many games take the time to actually make that aspect even close to realistic.

Then I played The Last of Us, and the EXACT same injury happens to Joel, except if he didn't have Ellie, he would have died. He was bleeding out massively, and I loved that little section of gameplay. It put that part of Tomb Raider in a new, unflattering light.

I recently got the game as well when it was on sale and I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. The wound, amongst soem other things, did bother me a lot as well though, so I totally get where you're coming from. A lot of games tend to ignore serious injuries for plot or gameplay though, so I kind of gave up caring too much.
