So, I've got Morrowind...

I'm going to install Morrowind tomorrow, so do you have any tips, recommendations for mods, etc?

Also if you are going to recommend me mods note that I'm more interested in gameplay and immersion mods more than visuals, but any recommendation would be nice. Thanks.

1. Don't steal in the first town, you'll die.
2. Check the swamps near the first town, there is a body with 200 gold on it.
3. Check for forrest near the swamp, a guy falls from the sky with a magical weapon.

1. The combat is shit. Mod it.

2. Everything is brown. Mod that too.

3. Look for a guy that falls out of the sky. He's carrying one of the best items in the game.

Well, be careful stealing, there is a house with a fair amount of potions in the cupboards that can buy some armour.

Unless you have a shitty system like I do. In which case, don't bother.

Try to put Athletics and Acrobatics in your Major or Minor Skills. You'll be doing a lot of running and jumping about, so it'll help towards levelling.

If you can find one, try and get a mod that makes the default run/walk speed faster or no fatigue while running. Travelling on foot in Morrowind caan be painfully slow early game.

I'd suggest looking around for some more interesting hairstyles and faces. The selection they give you isn't very impressive.
But maybe that is just me.

Get the Octopus Overlord mod set; it's a butt-ton of mods checked to make sure they don't f**k with eachother & make the game crash.

I also like the mods that add animal life; mostly by Abot & Cait.

Guh, I could go on & on. I have that maximum amount of mods (300) & really need to toss a few. Ones that add areas, ones that add ambiance, ones that let you free slaves, one that makes undersea castle appear, etc.
