So I've never played Simcity

So I've never played a Simcity game but I've decided I should give it a try. So what Simcity game would you recommend in the series? I've been a fan of the tropico series so ya if Simcity can give me more of the same I'd like it.

The original game has always been my favorite. The others got progressively less fun and more micro-manage-y, although if that's your thing, they're out there. With the original, Will Wright was pretty much just setting out to make a fun toy, not so much a realistic simulation -- the realism really came later.

P.S.: Most people are going to tell you Sim City 2000 is the best. It probably does have the best balance of simplicity and accuracy, if that's what you're looking for.

My recommendation would be Sim City for SNES. Simple and even with the money code, getting a megalopolis is hard and fun. Yet to do it

Many other people would recommend 2000.

Whoo! First one to actually say SC2000 for it's own sake

I've played all the previous installments, and 2000 was the most fun imo. Though 4 had some fun effects due to playing multiple cities working together at the same time.
