So, Mind Flex?

I seem to recall reading something about this thing supposed to be coming out last holiday season, but it seems to be coming out this holiday season instead. Anyway. The Mind Flex, for those who haven't seen commercials or anything, is a toy where you strap on a special headband, set up an obstacle course on a small platform, and use 'the power of your mind' to move a small ball around and through said course. Supposedly it reads your brainwaves and the toy translates that into movement for the ball.

So, to my point here.

Does anybody think that this thing actually works? I know that we're working on the technology for this type of thing, but this seems just too nicely wrapped up an neat for what we should be able to do with this. Then again maybe I'm wrong and this thing is capable of reading brainwaves and letting you move a ball around. My thinking just leads me to remember an old perephrial that they had for (I think) the original Atari that was supposed to do the same thing, but instead it actually worked by the way you moved your eyebrows.

So what are your thoughts? This thing just going to check and see how you move your forehead around? Is it for real? Are you getting one? Are you preparing yourself for the upcoming explosion of crazy psychic children if it is real?

It's perfectly possible. Of course we have the tech for it.

EDIT: A little more to be added, I think. I think it's a great idea. Hmmm, remote-controlled cars that work on mind power would be delightfully epic.

I think I read that it did work, but it gave the participants in the trial severe headaches. I believe its either been scrapped or delayed. I'm not 100% sure on that though

I've seen someone try to play pong using his mind. He had to think of happy thoughts to move it one direction and sad thoughts to move it the other way.
