So much talk about Nazis..

For some reason everywhere I look there's talk about the Nazis. Much is said about how bad life would be if they'd won. But I wonder, would the world still be in the grip on Nazism 60 years on? What would the world be like if it was?

Personally I think by now that countries would have thrown off the shackles of Nazism much the same as the Eastern block managed to do with Communism.

Well atleast Communism is good but back to Nazis, I don't think germany could hold the hole world whith a titan grip it's to big for one contry to rule it all it would probably fall apart at 1960 or 1980.

I don't think most of the countries would have gotten free after 60 or so years. About the Eastern block, i live in one, and I'm quite sure that it was one sh*tload of luck that we managed to get our independence...seriously, there were so many things that could have gone wrong and we would be still a part of the former CCCP. But I'm really happy that my country got independent!

But anyways, if the Nazis would have won, i fear that the might have started to rule everything, if there weren't no countries left who would have cared to fight them.
I doubt that there would have happened similar several coincidences that would have lead to the independence of the countries that had been conquered.

I doubt they would have managed to keep power for 65 years. Someone would get tired of their rule and start a revolution.

The Nazis didn't want to rule non-Teutons. They wanted to rule Germans. Most of us would not exist. Ancient empires would slaughter most of the subject population to prevent revolution. The Nazis wanted to do that on a worldwide scale. There simply wouldn't have been anyone to revolt. Sure the Nazis would have turned on each other as soon as Hitler was dead, but the world would be much blonder. And if you're not Aryan, chances are you wouldn't be here.

I would say closer to mid 50's actually and that is being optimistic. Let's assume they won by 1946. They would've been significantly weakened fighting on so many fronts and it wouldn't have taken long for the States and the rest of Europe to mount a counter attack, if not Hitler's policies would've eventually destroyed him from within. But if Japan was still in the war... well who knows.

100% agree nazism would have gone the same way that francos fascist spain did. A slow stagnation and demise with the death of the dictator.
I actually think that it would have collapsed before the soviet union did. Where the soviet union is all about assimilation for the greater good blah blah, nazism was more fuck you i'm better than you, be my slave &/or die.
