And by broke, I mean it won't turn on. Here's the story.

I turn it on in the morning, and it tells me to plug in the controller. So I do. Then I press the PS button, and nothing happens. Odd, of course, so I turn off the system and try again. Only, the PS3 won't turn on now! Oh snap!

So yeah. I've only had it for about 4 months, and I /would/ crack it open to dust it out, but that voids the warranty. Stupid Sony.

So, any suggestions?

PS: Yes, we tried spraying air in it, with the canned air thing. Didn't work.

Yeah send it send it send it! Depending on how good the store is where you bought it they may even replace it for you on the spot (if you still got the proof of purchase etc). I know we used to exchange faulty items within the first few months, then just send the faulty unit to the manufacturer for a credit.

I was hoping I could fix it instead. Especially considering the receipt is... indisposed. Yeah.

The store might have taken down your phone number, in which case you don't need the receipt.

I'd try to return it, frankly. I know I returned my PS3 at Best Buy (one of the updates bricked it) and they gave me a new one right then and there.
