so, my snake died yesterday...

yeah, yesterday my pet snake passed away. 5 years, 4 months and 1 day old, so fairly young. and i am devastated. i loved her so much, and the only thing that's comforting me here is that i was with her when she died. i'm gonna bury her tomorrow in the garden, wana say goodbye =\

so yeah, if you have lost any pets, how did you send them off? how did you deal with their death? and more importantly, any advice for getting over it?

My folks live in the woods and a little ways down one of the paths in the forest is a small pet graveyard. When one of our pets died we didn't give them a big sending off, that wasn't necessary, but having them out there did help a lot.

It doesn't hurt when I walk past it, cliche as it may sound I remember the good times and not the pain I felt after losing them.
