I have had quite a strange history with music games.
.It started when I got guitar hero 3 for my wii (this was before I had a ps3) and I was hooked, It basically got me into the music I listen to. Naturally, I wanted to get rock band. Only problem was that the wii version was watered down and lacking dlc support. Therefore GH world tour was the way to go. I liked this game, It inspired me to start learning how to drum. Then my friend got Rock band 2 and it kicked the shit out of guitar hero. The setlist was better, the drums worked better, and it had good dlc support. My group of friends played that game a lot. Then we lost interest, and got better at real instuments and started playing real life rock band.
Now that rock band 3 is coming, I'm hyped. Keyboard getting added is awesome, pro mode is cool, (Though it's too expensive for me and I already play an instrument) and the setlist is looking very good with Smoke On The Water, Bohemian Rhapsody, Break On through (to the other side), Crosstown Traffic, and I Can See for Miles, being my favorites that I know of. Hopefully my friend is also interested cause he's got the peripherals. If he is then I'll pay half price. In summary, what are your guys' thoughts on this game, I'm pretty optimistic.

I cant wait, Rock band is way better than guitar hero. Guitar hero gave us GH metallica, GH Van Halen and GH Aerosmith. Rock band gave us Beatles RB and Green Day RB, both of which are better than the GH specials. The new instruments look good and if my DLC from previous games work, I'll be happy.
EDIT: I also hope that they put the option to transfer the songs from RB 1+2 onto 3, like they did with 1 onto 2.

For what it's worth (which is little) this is hardly the first time keyboards have made their way into a rhythm game,.
