Personally I love it, and the critics all love it but it seems that most of the post i'm reading about it on forums about it are negative? Do people like this movie or not? This reaction deeply confuses me.
I know it's small, but I thought the line 'How do you know it's my first time?" from Bond to Silva was a subtle nod to this being the second time he has been in a compromising position in a chair.VictorSaffron said:It didn't reference Daniel Craig's past outings in the series, which I was okay with.
Was quantum of solace really that bad? I've never watched it, sorta forgot to, but I watched skyfall and casino royale. Both versions in fact- the old casino royale as well. It was a pretty wierd film as far as I remember. Anyone else watched it?Laughing Man said:Thought it was fricking awesome. Good story, great bad guy and a good ending. It certainly made up for the badness that Quantum of Solace, I do however disagree with Movie Bob because Skyfall does not make QOS better by trilogy association.
Some asshole on Reddit made an account where his username is a spoiler for Skyfall -.-Sutter Cane said:Personally I love it, and the critics all love it but it seems that most of the post i'm reading about it on forums about it are negative? It was terrible. Extremely boring and forgettable. There is literally only one thing I remember from that movie, and that is a building in the desert.Fractral said:Was quantum of solace really that bad? OT: Skyfall, in my opinion, was great. I loved it, despite not expecting much from it. The villan was cool, the story was pretty good, and it shocked me with how well it did the characters, especially M and Bond, who as far as I'm aware almost never got characterised in the older films.
Freakin' loved it, though to be fair, I'm not the biggest Bond fan around, so I viewed it as just an action flick (OK, maybe not 'just an action flick').Sutter Cane said:Personally I love it, and the critics all love it but it seems that most of the post i'm reading about it on forums about it are negative? Not convenient, done on purpose, because Silva wanted to be captured so he could get near to M and kill her.
THIS IS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE MOVIE!
MISTAKE: Bond meets Q for the first time in the National Museum where they have a little confidential chat. There are about 5 camera's in that room. Not the best place to have a confidential chat.
The cameras are controlled by the government, they can choose to disregard or delete any tapes that are captured, or more likely, just blanked out the cameras for that meeting.
CONVENIENCE: Bond is running through the abandoned part of the London underground, yet he is still has perfect reception on this headset.
It depends on how and what tech was used. Submarines can receive radio messages half a mile underwater, from stations 1500 miles or more away. The tech is available to make this feasible, and who knows what sorts of commo gear the military is actually using.
Oh come on, it really wasn't that subtle at all. Old dog, new tricks?VictorSaffron said:I liked Skyfall. Especially with it's subtle emphasis on age, forcing James Bond to adapt to a technology driven world. It didn't reference Daniel Craig's past outings in the series, which I was okay with. Javier Bardem as the antagonist was quite entertaining, with his blonde hair and flamboyant personality.
