CW shows & movies are separate universes, but your question would still be a valid one since that logic would apply in comics too. I like to think villains like Lex is going with the "get rid of my biggest obstacle first" mentality, like if I manage to get the rid of the very best hero first the rest should fall soon afterwards. That and Supergirl is usually portrayed as very similar but not quite as powerful as Superman, so assuming they are going for the biggest threat first logic going after Supes first would still make sense.Saltyk said:Wait. Is this show in the same universe as the movies? Because if so, that sort of makes Lex's plans even dumber. Even killing Superman, there is still a girl with his powers.
Those are two more reasons why I don't like it (despite being a girl-power fan and a Supergirl fan). It is so heavy handed with the girl power, especially in the pilot, and yet it really doesn't seem to know what it is saying or how it comes off half the time. When Supergirl points out her hero name is sexist, the stereotypically bitchy boss says "no ur sexist!" and the show leaves it at that. It doesn't have the brains to understand comic book hangups about women, or for that matter, tvshow hangups about women.KingsGambit said:The only reason to watch this show is if you want the girl-power thing, which it has in spades, or are a fan of the character. The stories, characters and writing are bland and boring.
Oh yes, so much succulent ham. Such voracious scenery-chewing.Veldie said:Legends Season 2 is pretty much better in every way to. The Legion of Doom is to entertaining.
Aye, and 'tis a pity. The movies could learn something from the shows' ability to look at the more silly campy elements of comics and just roll with it. Go Barry, run at that giant sharkman! Punch that telepathic simian!Tiamattt said:CW shows & movies are separate universes.
It is very much *not* in the same shared universe as the films. The DC film universe has three films in it, the two superman ones and Suicide Squad, with Wonder Woman and Justice League down the line. There is already a Flash TV show but they have cast another Flash in the movies. Further, they've also had a different Superman in Supergirl TV show, nothing to do with Cavill/Snyder's interpretation (thank Heavens).Saltyk said:Wait. Forget what I said before, after the episodes I watched last night, it's definitely a 9.Souplex said:On a scale of 1-10?Canadamus Prime said:I'm still only on the first season and I wouldn't say spot on, but pretty damn close.undeadsuitor said:First season? Since they moved to the CW and joined the Arrowverse though now its less of that and more of the arrowverse tropes shoved in
they could still be in same thing i mean Flash has the whole multiverse going on so we can say the movies are Earth 666 GrimEarth xDKingsGambit said:It is very much *not* in the same shared universe as the films. The flash saved green arrows once when the writers had wrote themselves into a corner, it was such an asspull.Laggyteabag said:. How hard is it for the Green Arrow to just call over The Flash to beat the living shit out of whoever ails him this time?.
