Meh, IMO tattoos are ugly... Ruins the appearance of almost any person. And the small ones in annoying places (like some girls have on the hips) pisses me the hell off Oo.

I've got a Celtic-style link around the top of my right arm, and that's my only tattoo. Me and my 2 brothers all have the same one, so its kind of a brothers-thing for us. As for more tattoos, well, I'm on the fence. I might go for some more at some point, but I'm in no rush.

Personally, I have no particular problems with them, although I do think if people are over-inked, then it can look a bit naff, but that's about it.

Be aware as well that if it in a a viewable area it could have troubling effects in things such as Job searches. It takes about 14 seconds for an interviewer to determine whether its a pass or fail, it would suck to be judged by such a trivial thing like a tattoo.

I don't have any problem with them, but I also have no interest to get one. However if I were to get one, it'd either be

When conciderign a tatto i tick of a list of things:

1 - Is it appropiate? For example, will this naked lady fucking the devil really land me that job as a school teacher? Does it break military tattoo regulations and/or is it offensive?

2 - Is it eye catching? Is the design pretty sweet, too simple, too large, too small, too colourful, will it fade/distort in the future as i get older?

3 - Can you tell a story about it? Such as whats the meanting behind you getting it? Does it mean anything?

4 - Is it something only i or a small group of people get? I hate seeign tatoos i don't understand.

5 - Will i regret this?! (for example a band's name.. what if they start to suck or something, and you forever have their name branded on you)

Thats Distorted Stu's tattoo list for this evening..

[sub]I tick this list off every time i get one... getting a new one next week, yay ^^[/sub]

If your ready for the investment of a tattoo and understand that it hurts a lot more to remove it than it does putting it on. It can also be slightly addicting. I started with one and now have four, two on my back two on my chest. Only those who I let see, get to see.

I'm going to be getting a few spiritual ones... the moon phases around my left ankle, an Ankh on my left wrist, the Eye of Horus on my right wrist, and a pentagram somewhere. (<-- No, I'm not a Satanist. Piss off.)

The only way I'd get a tattoo would be if it gave me magic powers and it went on my forearm. Like the Runes in Suikoden.

I've held off on getting a tattoo until I have a design that I legitimately like and know that I won't regret somewhere down the line in my life

Always thought about it but never got serious in thinking of ideas until my 21st birthday though

I might get one some day, I'm 100% for body modification although the kind we have today isn't really that useful.

But then again, why should you want to mark your body with some kind of recognizable markings? Anonymity on the web and in real life wooo.

I'm not really interested in getting a tattoo. I'm just worried about about the people who do, eventually we're gonna have old people walking around with them up their wrinkley arms :(

I went to a parlour last week to get a Valkyrie tattoo on my hand, but they weren't open. Maybe it's a sign from forces unknown. Still, I'm getting it next time I'm in town.

I love tattoo's I have a good 1/5th of my body already planned as to what I want, and I have for quite a while. Too bad I can't afford them, and I would be able to for quite a while. My avatar is my first and only tattoo for now though, its CFH, which stands for Cowboys From Hell, its a dedication to Pantera and Dimebag.

As for getting your own tattoo, make sure you really know you want one. You usually don't decide you want one in a brief amount of time, that's how you end up regretting them. Picture your tattoo, burn it into your mind, you are gonna have this for the rest of your live. Are you prepared to have that. Ask yourself how long you have wanted it, then come back in 2 months and ask yourself do you still want it as much. If then answer is yes then go the fuck ahead and get it. If you have any doubts though you are better off waiting, at least for a while, you gotta be 100% sure.

For the tattoo you are getting, its cool and all, but I think it could be better. Find out the artists are the local parlours and look at some of their stuff, try find the right artist for you. Then what I would do is ask him if he thinks he can make it any better, usually they can and it comes out looking better than you could have ever imagined. They know what they are doing, its usually bets to listen.

Good luck dude.

I might get one when I'm older. I think they can look really cool, and send a message to people. If I can find a good message, I'll probably get one.
