Well, i need a game. I'm talking PC or Xbox but im looking mostly for xbox. I've just been so down-trodden by the recent ruin of games that a cant be bothered to root through millions of stores and demo's for a half decent game.

So i thought i should ask the people who know gaming the best, who are the pinnacle of the virtual world and to whom a controller will be as simple as breathing.

However, they were busy and so i put it to the escapist community 'har har, i told a joke...'. I've got red dead redemption but i just want something else. Does anyone know of any games to play? ~im open for SNES - NES games also :)

~EDIT: Okay, genre requests? Pretty much anything apart from slow war strategy games. I mean theyre okay just slow. I'm into anything from FPS to RPG to stealth. Sorry for really not narrowing that down at all :)

Just have a look for any low price games at your local store that you've heard people mention alot.

Other than that only new release I have to maybe recommend is Naughty Bear coming out next week but many people are mixed on it

It's not like you have to go to the store, look at game websites and amazon (on your internet store of choice). Chances are there are videos and such.

Are we talking new games only?
Action, Batman Arkham Asylum.
RPG, Look for the Bioware stamp and you can't go wrong.
RTS (sort of), Dawn of War 2 is pretty great.

I'm going to steal this from an old thread

PC
Doom 3- Good shooter, pretty scary to me, also an excellent modding scene:
http://www.moddb.com/mods?filter=t&kw=Search+...&released=1&style=def&theme=def&game=33&type=def
(plus there's a Hello-Kitty! flashlight mod) 20$
Fallout 2 - Isometric view, turn based RPG. Doesn't get much better 10$
Torchlight - Shameless Diablo 2 ripoff. Still cute though, lots of great mods 20$
World of Goo - Basically, a physics simulator to make puzzles with. Adorable, and honestly thought-provoking. Side effects may include making you a more complete person 20$
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines - You're a blood thirsty, ass-kicking vampire with magical powers, including but not limited to: Transforming in a Wolf-Death Machine Hybrid, Mind Control, Invisibility, attacking people with flocks of Ravens, making groups of people within a certain radius blood implode from the inside, and SO MUCH MORE. 3rd person RPG, loads of replay value, and good mod scene. 20$
RPG wise, anything Bioware has ever made (Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate )

Xbox
Castle Crashers - XBLA game, side scrolling, sorta 3d beat em up with magic and leveling. Super Badass. 15 bucks in MS points
Fable 1 or 2 - 3rd person rpg, the characters are cute, the gameplay is pretty fun. Lightning people in the face.

Both
Mass Effect 1 & 2- 3rd person RPG. It's a bioware game, so interesting story and great characterization are a given. Biotic powers are a blast 20$
Fallout 3 - 3rd or 1st person shooter, also an RPG. Wide open world, lots of crap to do in it. 30 $
Psychonauts - 3rd person platformer, fun gameplay and puzzles, cute and funny dialogue 10$

if you're into hacky slashy types you could get Ninja Gaiden II or Bayonetta for the xbox(I'm playing Bayonetta currently and I'm loving it) or maybe you can Get H3:ODST for the xbox and play co-op with smn. Alternatively, you could get Crackdown which although old, it's pretty decent. not happy still? well, you can always get GRAW 1&2 for the xbox/pc, if you're into "realistic"(and by that I mean really really hard) shooters.

or you can go wank in a corner :D

good luck finding the game you want!!

Threads who's titles doesn't state what the thread is about. That, and there are tons of great games to try.

Mount & Blade: Warband for PC for example. easily available from Steam for cheap. Medival third person game, you lead your own army in war and can end up having your own nation controlling large parts of the in-game world, or maybe your a Kings second in command? Who knows! (check it out, worth your time)

or maybe even
Splinter Cell: Conviction. In my opinion one of the better installments in the series, and sure to give you a great experience if you like stealth based games and Jack Bauer^^. I'm a PC gamer only, but I'm sure you can get the game for XBox.

even crazier tho;
Earthworm Jim 3D. one of my favorites from when I was a little girl skipping rope in the back yard (except I wasn't I was playing Earthworm Jim XD). It's the third in a series of installments where you play the hero earthworm by the name of Jim. You get a fridge and a cow in your head, end up in a coma in the hospital, and you have to fight your way out of it. Yeah well its pretty insane. I'm sure you'd enjoy it if you like strange old games, but if not I wouldn't touch it with a very, very long pole... How long was it, 10 feet? 20? I don't know...

Uhm. Bye!

For PC games, a good idea is to just download Steam and only buy their insanely good deals. I haven't paid more than £10 for a game in the last 6 months just because of these deals and almost all of them are fantastic.
