So the new xbox update has screwed me over

Can't login, when I try it either doesn't let me or makes me enter my email and password then rejects me.

Anyone else have these kinds of problems? Or is this some freak occurrence that ONLY HAPPENS TO ME

Im currently having problems were it disconnects me every time I boot up a game. I tested the connection and it will either connect to the the internet but not to any xbox live servers, or it connects but tell me to go to the service alerts page.

Major Nelson is well aware of the issue and is working to fix it.
But that does suck. I had the disconnection bug once but everything has been fine after that.

Haven't downloaded it yet. It gives you the option to refuse for now? I assume I'd have to play disconnected from Live, which is fine. I was thinking about starting AC Revelations tonight.

My brother and I are having the same problem. I can connect fine to xblive, but every time I sign into my profile, I get:
- agree to the new terms and conditions, LOLJK you can't do that
- you wanna enter your password every time you sign in? No? Ok no xblive for you
- I WAS JK ABOUT BEING CONNECTED LOL, TRY AGAIN
and that has been the last hour.

I downloaded it ---> Accepted Terms of Service ---> Tried to Connect ---> Got an error "Cannot connect to live right now ----> Tested connection -----> Connected to live -----> Went to sign in to my profile -----> "Cannot connect to live" WHAT?! God-damn.

Oh thank god. I thought I was the only one having these problems. My Internet is overall pretty shitty, especially as of late, so I thought it was an issue on my end. This makes me much more relieved.

I am having a teeny bit of a problem myself. I am connected to the internet. I try to log in to download the update, it tells me I am not connected to XBL. So I try my PS3 to make sure that my router isnt screwing me over and I get connected to PSN all good.

I try XBL again, nothing. Couldn't even download the new update. So I unplug the router and then plug it back in, try XBL. I go to sign in, says it cannot download the update because I cannot connect to XBL. So I hit "okay" and go into offline mode and my 360 starts downloading the update. The update goes through alright. After the update it still says it cannot connect to XBL. I was worried for a second until I saw this thread. Good thing it is happening to others. I thought my net or 360 was going down on me... and not in the good way.

I wouldn't be surprised if this update doesn't come out for a few days and XBL remains out.

Still...at least this bullshit is occurring during finals week for me. It this happened after the worst semester of all time (18 masters level units is NO JOKE kids...6 classes...ugh) then I'd have to choke a *****

I did the connection test, it shows that I only have 1 bar strength when I usually have 5. The router is in the same room. I wonder if this update didn't screw up the drivers for the wireless adapter.
