I am having a teeny bit of a problem myself. I am connected to the internet. I try to log in to download the update, it tells me I am not connected to XBL. So I try my PS3 to make sure that my router isnt screwing me over and I get connected to PSN all good.

I try XBL again, nothing. Couldn't even download the new update. So I unplug the router and then plug it back in, try XBL. I go to sign in, says it cannot download the update because I cannot connect to XBL. So I hit "okay" and go into offline mode and my 360 starts downloading the update. The update goes through alright. After the update it still says it cannot connect to XBL. I was worried for a second until I saw this thread. Good thing it is happening to others. I thought my net or 360 was going down on me... and not in the good way.

I'm logged in and have the update but it did kick me for a while, and then for a while even after logging-in it pretended I didn't have a GOLD Xbox Live account. Now it seems to be working. It's just a major let down of an update anyway since they seem to have entirely removed the Watch With Party feature from both Netflix and Zune and added an EPIX app that doesn't even work.

I was having that issue myself, but I got it straightened out, but, just so everyone knows, section 18 includes a clause ala Sony making you waive your rights to join in a class action suit against Microsoft.

This is what I wrote them:

I refuse to waive my rights to participate in a class action suite as outlined in section 18.1.6 and am exercising my right to reject the aforementioned section as per section 18.1.11.

I received notification of the new TOS on Dec. 6, 2011, and this notice was sent to Microsoft on Dec. 7, 2011.

Above that I gave them pertinent info, my name, address, and gamertag. Below that I signed my name. Basically you are given an out when it comes to waiving your right to a class action suit, that is what I referenced when I mentioned section 18.1.11, and section 18.1.6 is the section stating you waive your legal rights.

Here is the address you need to send that letter to, because you have to send a letter via snail mail:

Im currently having problems were it disconnects me every time I boot up a game. I tested the connection and it will either connect to the the internet but not to any xbox live servers, or it connects but tell me to go to the service alerts page.

This. A Million fucking times this. I am trying to play CoD4 online.

Accept new terms and conditions
Restart xbox

That SHOULD work. It has worked for me, my brother, and 3 of my friends.

Mine is working just fine...too bad I'm not lucky like that more often. But yeah, it's working...though it seems fucking confusing as hell. Maybe it's just something I have to get used to but I kind of feel shafted here. I can almost be certain that whoever designed this had kinect users in mind more than controller users (I bet to try to urge those who haven't bought kinect to do so). Sliding across every single little box just to get to my "apps" section so I can use netflix which I had to redownload? -_- But I'll get used to it in time I suppose.

Well it's almost an entirely new program so it may have just been easier to download a new program than try to adapt the old one...but then again I don't know much of anything about all that.
