most of the time my best friend comes down at midnight (we had that arrangement i also do it at hers) with some cigars and a bottle of rum/wiskey. a few days later in the weekend me and my friends have a party and that's it
well, since it wouldn't seem appropriate to mention some of my awesome birthday anniversaries, i s'pose i could just offer my own most horrible one. my 21'st birthday anniversary, i'll never forget it. my cat was diagnosed with leukemia and i had to put her down. signing a contract giving permission for someone to kill your pet is...

Sorry your birthday sucked. Most of my bithdays are not very memorable. My sisters on the other hand. They are twins and their bithday was last Tusday. And it was a whole day of me, my room mate and one of my sisters trying to cheer up the other sister because my parents sent her a card with the message 'You will burn in hell for going aginst God. You *****'. So yep bit of a downer.

A number of years ago, on my 23rd birthday... New Apartment in a new state, first time on my own, had a group of friends coming over, was going to cook some steaks and watch the playoffs. I had just recently adopted a retired Greyhound from a race track nearby, and we were crate training her, and she was just about to the point where she could be left alone without crying.
Me and my girlfriend go to pickup a cake she ordered me, and pick up the steaks and drinks, we get home with about 30 minutes before friends are going to be arriving, walk up the exterior steps to the front door and notice what I'll politely call "an odor." Que finding that our canine family member had shit all over the inside of her crate, and apparently flipped out about it and smeared herself in it, then smeared herself ALL OVER THE INSIDE OF THE CRATE, like a 55 pound brindle beautiful, statuesque shit brush. Third floor apartment. No walk-in shower. No access to a hose. ...that's all.

Anyway, a birthday's pretty much a normal day for me, with the exception of having a few more notifications from Facebook from people I don't talk to wishing me happy birthday.
EDIT: Oh god, I just realised how bad that makes me sound. I don't normally drink myself stupid every day, only on birthdays and the odd weekend.

I go to school with large groups of people who are very big, box as a hobby, are very big, and enjoy the tradition of birthday beats. They also don't like me much.
And my birthday is ALWAYS during the FUCKING WEEK.

This year was amazing though. I never had such a great birthday.

OT: Last year I spent my birthday in a chemistry lab being told I am stupid and had nothing to do in a chemistry lab. That was awful from 11am to 6PM. The day after on the other hand I was being told I was stupid from 11am to 5PM and then went out to watch one of my favourite TV shows live which was totally awesome and when I got home I got concert tickets to Rise Against playing. In conclusion, birthday awful, the day after EPIC.

Well, at least you're employed OP. Mine's coming up in 2 weeks and this will be my first birthday unemployed in 9 years.
I'm milling over leaving my cellphone at home and renting a motel somewhere to pass the day. Don't want the calls. Really wish I could afford to rent companionship for the evening though.
