I was told by a friend to watch this show because it's apperently "Awesome", "Vampires are actually VAMPIRES", "No Twilight bullshit".
Well, I'll give the 2nd one credit, because the show is pretty gory. However, after 3-4 episodes pf watching this show. I can confidently say that half of the characters are pointless. What the fuck is the point with gay, drug dealing black dude? He doesn't fit with anything! What about the werewolf dude that runs a restraunt and just spends his free time offering advice to adolescent werewolfs and eventually getting them to live with him (seriously, this is getting kinda creepy). And then we have Sookie. The "bella" of the show, everyone wants her, everyone is after her for.... what reason again? whats worse she seems to get into the same race love triangle bullshit that twilight goes on with. But, at least she saves us the "Oh MAH GAWD, I'M JUST SO CONFLICTED! UGHH!" look on her face whenever she's on screen.
Overall it's not a bad show, I might even say I slightly enjoy it. But Just feel that half of the show is entirely pointless following two characters that just don't do anything, or have any ties with anyone else. Can anyone explain this show to me? or at least gimme the cliff notes?
