Maybe it's some small amount of money. 1,000 dollars. something that would be nice to have but nothing mind blowing

Gwyneth Paltrow's head. I can see Peter being a serial killer.

So Molyneux says that he isn't making profit out of this and the contents will be life changing...

It'll either never break or it will contain a code to the account which stores all of the money made from curiosity.

It's Molyneux, so anything (and beyond) goes.

So, how about playing the role of main character of his next game? That could be life-changing. Or maybe he'll adopt you. Who knows. Stay curious.

Well the only thing he could really put in the box that could actually be life changing would be the account number and password of a bank account in the Cayman Islands holding 10 million dollars. I don't know why you would ever share this though...

Then again, it could also be a sign that says: You Win! Choose to share the win now? Then an alarm will be sent to Peter's private assassin's and they will come to your house and kill you. If you chose to share, they will then proceed to go and kill everyone else who chipped away at that block for even one second. This would be quite life changing.

Job offer is my guess.

The easy answer? $1 million. Remember, he said he doesn't think he'll profit from the game.
Both of mine taken that close to each other haha. Both would be life changing. My bet is on money though as the whole "They can share it with others or not" thing only makes any sense if it is money.

It'll be amazing. It will be a mirror, but the image in the mirror will turn on your webcam to show you sitting at your computer. And on the frame will be a little plaque saying "The real dreams are inside you!" The only issue is the person who cracks it won't have their webcam drivers so the webcam won't turn on and it'll crash the game. It's perfect, the million-dollar bug.

Sad part, it'd probably be more enjoyable than Black and White!

This is my opinion, let it be known that I called it. Molyneux will pull off a Gerardo Riviera.
This is probably it.

I'm going to setup a macro to click my mouse every millisecond and just leave it clicking all day.

Assuming the windows event system can handle it (probably a poor assumption) that's 3,600,000 clicks an hour.

It's probably a crazy Scottish guy pressing numbers into a computer every 108 minutes in order to save the world. No one will see it coming.

What ISN'T in the box, ah?

I think I've cracked it before it's even released.

It's not something, or anything, or even nothing. It's the thought that you spent money on your curiosity. The box cannot and never will be chiselled open.

Everyone who spends money on it gets a chisel of varying strength to crack open the box. If you buy the 59p iron chisel, you get a hit of strength 10 times that of the base chisel; the £50,000 chisel is 100,000x more powerful than it so your chances of cracking seeing inside are much higher.

Everyone who spends more will be "closer to the money shot" as Molyneux put it - or as I've interpreted it, more self-reflective on how much they were willing to spend on subsiding their curiosity. If you spent a fortune, you're gonna' think pretty bloody hard about what you did, and if it's only a couple of quid; you'll still think about it, just not as much.

It's a Thought Experiment, not a lottery.
