So, what can you hear?

I can hear my neighbors argue every other night through my headset, and the apartment complex I live in has walls of concrete. Oh, and whenever it's silent, I can hear a ringing in my ears that never goes away.

It's pretty quiet where I live.

Which you'd expect, as it's 1am.

I really should go to sleep, but I don't have to get up early tomorrow so... meh.

All I can hear right now is the not so gentle hum of my computer and the sound of me typing, obviously.

Rain pattering against my window, crickets chirping across the street to the right, my mom rummaging in my brothers drawers, talking to him. A car just passed by, and my keyboard typing.

I love listening to the rain...

The freeway outside my window is pretty loud; I wish I was on a higher floor. I occasionally hear my roommates going in and out as they shuffle through all the tedious security locks you have to get through to get outside. And the obvious miscellaneous noises of my lap top.

I can hear the drumming of rain on the window, over the top of the wind blowing through the leaves of the trees, I can hear my girflriend's breathing as she lies next to me, asleep while I steal her laptop and go on the escapist.
I can hear the occasional car drive past, though what cars are doing driving past my house at this hour I don't know. I can hear the hum of the laptop, I can hear the creak of the bed as I shift my weight to get more comfortable.

And you know what the call all of these sounds put together?
Silence.
