As the title says. when you come to a thread. What do you look for aside from discussion.

I come to some threads expecting people who post in those certain topics to be there. They usually are good for laughs.

Maybe if enough people get their ideas together, we can have more enjoyable threads around the escapist. Post your opinions, please.

-Not that the threads are bad or anything. Keep up the entertainment, guys!

Few comments.

I like being on the first page.

That said, I still have constructive comments! I don't just write first.

This. Even if you have a revolutionary addition, being on page 573 would make maybe 5 people tops read it.

Haha, did this thread branch off the "The Escapist Has Let Me Down" thread? Nice. <3

I basically click whichever threads have interesting titles, or seem like they would inspire interesting answers. This doesn't always mean "lofty" or "academic," because lofty academic conversations don't always start out as such. See: "Twilight and Philosophy: Vampires, Vegetarians, and the Pursuit of Immortality."

Of those threads I click, I post if I think of... something? to say. I'm not good at funny. I'll admit I enjoy nipping at the ankles of people who think they're all high and mighty.

I'm trying to figure out why, of all threads, I posted in this thread. Initially, I looked at the title and thought "That looks related to something I posted in another thread not long ago." And then I'm posting this now because I had an opinion and I like being self-important. Don't we all. <3

Anything new that is relevant to my interests. Whether it's new info on an old topic or an entire new idea doesn't metter to me. Otherwise an (old) topic that I feel I've got an interesting opinion on myself that I haven't been able to share yet. Or a poll. I generally vote in pretty much every poll I see unless A) the poll is biased/unfair/borked, B) I can't make a choice (in these cases I usually post as well as those polls make for interesting discussion) or C) it's an incredibly boring poll on (usually) an old topic, i.e. "What do you think about Twilight".

I know what you mean. My eye is always drawn to threads with a lower post count, because otherwise, your comments usually just aren't read.

I look for short questions which I can answer, and as soon as I see a text longer than 3 lines I'm outta there.

If I feel my opinion will add to a thread or stand out somewhat, I post.

I also agree with the first page thing.
