Hi, guys. I thought it would be nice change of pace from all the gaming politics talks going around here, to have a nice talk about what games are you currently playing. Are you enjoying the game? Thoughts?

I'll start:

I recently bought the complete Ultima series from GoG and so far, I'm enjoying them greatly. Although a bit obtuse, I was fun tabbing out of the game and looking at the manuals the games brought in order to find clues, maps and even decipher text. It's great.

I'm also playing Fire Emblem: Awakening. I'm really loving the game but I'm afraid my OCD in keeping my army in balanced levels is slowing my progress.

Alien Isolation - Really enjoying it at the moment, I like the way they managed to capture the feel of the first film and the sense of being hunted by the alien.

Saint's Row 3 - What can I say, it's Saint's Row so it's silly OTT fun.

Mostly been playing Shadow of Mordor and payday 2, been having a lot of fun with both.

Though I just bought Saint's row 4 as it went on sale and am downloading that now, will probably play that for a good bit. I am hoping to pick up Alien: Isolation as well if it goes on sale during the Steam Halloween sale.

It's crazy, Shadow of Mordor and Alien: Isolation are both movie license games. Movie license games are usually terrible cash grabs but these two come out at around the same time and are both actually really good.

And while the movie license games are really good, the big AAA publisher games that have been coming out have been pretty lackluster with no improvement in sight.

Just started Tomb Raider 2013 last night. Got a fairly large backlog and I'm trying to get through as much as possible before I buy any more games. Still haven't picked up Smash Bros. and Borderlands yet and Sunset Overdrive is out next week so I need to hurry up :p

And I guess this counts, I've been playing a fair bit of Subway Surfers on iOS when I'm on the bus or something.

Tried playing Colonial Marines for the first time, ended up dying a lot thanks to retarded team AI and wonky Alien AI (at least 5 gang up on my with only so many rounds in the mag and punching them seems to do very little) which in the end forced me to quit entirely.

Started playing Korra a few days ago and I've had a blast with it so far with the last boss fight still to go, also started replaying Battlefield 3's campaign since Nvidia threw out the DSR update meaning I can eliminate all the horrid jaggies and I'll probably boot up some older games and do the same.

Might continue with my Barbarian in Diablo 3 since he's yet to start the ROS expansion.

Kerbal Space Program and Skyrim/FONV, occasional Starcraft 2 and SimCity 4.

That's the last 2 years, and probably for another 2. I have a massive backlog now.

I recently went back to Persona 4 on my old PS2. I've really missed that game. I also just recently downloaded a new Legend of Korra beat-em up on Steam. Platinum Games had a huge hand in making this game, and MaximillianDood's assessment of it seems to promise some real fun and slick combat.

Max Payne 3 multiplayer mostly, its a bit of a payne (heh) at the start since its so terribly unbalanced, whoever bought the DLC has a really good rifle and who is at max level has a 1 handed sawed off shotgun that kills anyone in one shot for a rather good range considering the weapon that it is.

When you get to pick up their guns you notice the difference and usually go on a killstreak, with the guns at my level and below its hard to do well.

Also have been playing Styx: Master of Shadows, everyone that likes Thief should really check it out.

Right now I'm playing through Batman: Arkham City, already beat the main game, Batmans challenges, and Harley Quinns revenge and earned all the respective trophies..Just finished Catwomans Ranked Challanges and I've finished her first four campaigns, then on to Robin and Nightwing.

Replaying the original Persona trilogy on the PSP. Very fun games that require strategy and group management skills, which is quite rare in a dungeon crawler. Let down by their horrid lack of polish, and campaigns (the first game had two) going on for way, waaaay too long, most of which are just dungeons and battles.

Other than that, nothing new. Until Inquisition comes out.

I've recently finished the first book of Dreamfall Chapters and I've recently hit level 20 in Skyrim. I only picked it up earlier this year when the legendary edition was on sale. Oblivion really put me off the Elder Scrolls series, but I've been pleasantly surprised by Skyrim so far.

While I'm looking forward to the rest of the Books of Dreamfall Chapters, I don't think I'm going to give the first book a second go through until the rest of the game is released. The game only keeps track of the decisions made in your last run and I want to see what consequences my original choices bring me.

Apart from that, I've been playing some Timber and Stone as a gap filler. The next patch is in beta testing atm, so I'm trying to finish off my current settlement as much as I can before the new version.

Making my way though the first "Final Fantasy" on "Final Fantasy Origins" and finding it fun! way better than "Final Fantasy 13"... by a long shot... Cant wait to get started on "Final Fantasy 2".

I just downloaded Fantasy Life last night and now I'm trying to play it every time I take a break at work. I'm a terrible employee :)

The game hasn't quite gripped me yet. Not surprising since I can only play it in 15-minute sprints, jamming the A button just so I can skip past the adorable tutorials. So far, I have concluded that Fantasy life is my new Rune Factory and possibly my new Monster Hunter 3 once I find some friends to go online with. Not bad for a 3ds release that's flying under the radar.

Playing Kotor 2,and the endless game that is Civ5. Started it ages ago, don't recall exactly why I didn't make it to far in at that time but I'm loving it now and having played Kotor earlier this year it seemed like a good time to drive in.

I really wished I had played Kotors on release as I'm sure they would have blown my mind at the time.

The two times I've tried to finish 100% that game, I've always burnt myself out. The first time, it was because I was trying to go through the challenge maps after having played the story through twice (normal & New Game+). The second, it was because I tried to go through all the challenge maps after having 100%'d the achievements for Arkham Asylum and 99%'ing a save file in Arkham Origins (didn't get 100% because I can't be effed playing the multiplayer so I was missing a few character trophies/game art or something--unfortunately a lot of the achievements for that game are tied into the multiplayer or DLC as well).

So I'm stuck with like, 75% of the achievements for Arkham City right now as I just haven't been bothered doing all of those combat and stealth maps over and over again because some of those Extreme challenges are really bloody annoying.

I have been getting the hankering to play the games again because of all the comics I've been reading lately, though.

OT: At the moment I've largely been playing Super Smash Bros. 3DS and Shadow of Mordor. I'll probably see about picking up Bayonetta 2 tomorrow.

I'm enjoying both of them, for the most part. Smash Bros. is Smash Bros., so by that token I find it a lot of fun, though there are still things I miss from previous iterations of the game. I really miss the Tournament mode from Melee. It can be a little difficult to follow the action on the 3DS screen sometimes, but overall I think they did a pretty phenomenal job of it.

As for Shadow of Mordor, it's not quite the game set in Middle Earth that I've been wanting for the past decade or so, and I'm generally predisposed to dislike open-world games on principle, but it's still a rather solid fantasy action game. I imagine once I start controlling Uruks and using them for my own ends I'll have a whale of a time with the game, but right now I've mostly just been doing collectibles and side stuff because I like seeing world maps clean of excess "thing" markers.

Just some War Thunder and Hearthstone. I am gonna have a LAN session with my bestie and play through all 3 of the Gears games, so that should be fun, but other than that, nothing overly special. I would be playing Borderlands, but after I got to level 50, and my friends are taking their sweet-ass time getting the game, there isn't really much to do.

At the moment I'm back playing Company of Heroes 2 on the general difficulty. Its rather challenging, but rewarding when you do eventually win the day.
