So what will you call the first Xbox?

Well, the "Xbox one" has been announced. Though for ages thats what I've been calling the first console. So, if you're talking to a friend and wish to refer to the first console, what are you going to call it? The First Xbox? Xbox original? Xbox Classic? The Actual Xbox One? I'm curious to know the mind set with this "revelation" from Microsoft.

By the way I didn't actually watch the press coverage, why are they calling it the Xbox One? Because it's suppose to be an all in one box? I'm still going to call the new onw the 720 for a while because it actually sounds like progression.

Really? I just call it "the XBox". Likewise, I call the XBox 360 just "the 360". And if (for some reason I decide to do so) I get the XBox One, Im gonna call it the Xbone... Cause it is actually both hilarious and fitting from the sounds of it.

If you really feel the need to distinguish it from it's successors then you could just refer to it as "the original[footnote]"original" as in the one that came first.[/footnote] XBox."

the new will be called names Xbone (as in bone, of course ^^ ) thus rendering renaming the XBox... one... obsolete
no seriously, just plain XBox
and the new one... will never be talked about. i mean, just read the news around it, and the way the XBox people treat their potential customers.
if they don't want my money, they could just say it, really. i'm quite reasonable to talk to.

edit: calling it XBox One would have made sense if it was completely backwards compatible, so you'd only need ONE console for ALL XBox games ever. but since that doesn't happen... really, i don't get its name

I refuse to call it the Xbox One. It's the Xbox 3. You don't go backwards in numbers...that's just really a dumb move.

Completely agree with you on that one. What the hell were they on when they decided on that name, seriously?

OT: Still calling my first Xbox, my Xbox, around other people I refer to it as an Xbox original though.

I would rather just call the new one the XBone. Seriously though, I'll continue calling the first one what I've called it since people decided to call the 360 'Xbox': The Original Xbox. Failing that, I'll call it "The good one; you know, the one with Mech Assault".
