As for real, living animals, my favorite is the bear.
Raw, extreme power backed with a ferocious guardian instinct for their cubs.
Also, they're adorable and fluffy when they're not murderous monsters. <3

As for mythical, I've always had a soft spot for griffins. Probably due to my fascination with birds of prey combined with my love of all felines. Regal, beautiful, yet deadly.
