For anyone who doesn't know or understand collectathon usually refers to games, usually open world platformers, where the point of the game is to collect many things to gain entry and progress to other parts of the game. Games like banjo kazooie or jak and daxter. The last one was really super mario galaxy and thats only because it's super mario 64: wii edition(which doesn't make it by bad by the way.) So where did they go? From what I read online they were really popular and I really enjoyed them when I was a kid and still do. I know it's easy to say "well people stopped liking them so people stopped making them will of the market etc." but I really just want to know your thoughts on the forgotten genre. So yeah, Did/do you play them or remember them or want more of them?
