I'm not buying anything from EA even if they would somehow get an exclusive deal to supply the world with oxygen.

Cause I don't like what EA stands for nowdays.

I won't be buying either, simply because I'm not a massive FPS fan. And, when I do venture into said realm, the less 'realism' the better.

Well considering mw3 seems to not be bothering in the who new stuff dept and focusing more on multiplayer, again, i dont see the point. Bf3, well is it really that much different?

So im gonna save my money for the games that are not just doing the same old thing over and over again, like arkham city and saints row 3.

I have the BF3 Limited Edition, got it Midnight, and i'm doing the same for MW3As for Elite, I might hold off on that for my Finances sake. But basically every hugely-anticipated Title of this Season, I'm getting. AC:Revelations, MW3, Halo CEA, Skyrim, and Skyward Sword. And my Heads ready to EXPLODE from anticipation!!!!!

Those two games just never really interested me. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of FPS's as a whole. There were a few I played and loved but most of it is just disinteresting to me.

I haven't played either series, or in fact any military FPSs, and even if I had it's same to assume I'll be buried in Skyrim this month.

I'm not, because I dislike war shooters.

So I'd like to see more shooters that don't involve war.

I won't be buying them. Neither interests me, beyond a rental. I appreciate meatier games with a deeper single-player offering, which is why Dark Souls and (soon) Skyrim will be occupying my time for the immediate to near future. Their online components hold no interest for me in the least. Well, actually, that's an unfair judgement against BF3, as I haven't played a BF game online before at all, but I have a reasonable expectation of what it is.

I won't be buying either of them since military shooters just fail to keep me interested. I played some of MW1 and it just bored me. I doubt much has changed. Battlefield looks largely the same. Great graphics, a little more variety in gameplay thanks to vehicles, and ALL the dev time spent on multiplayer. I prefer a game to focus on single player and treat multiplayer as a bonus.

As for what i'd like to change? Heavier emphasis on single player, less emphasis on "realism", and fewer generic Military shooters in favor of more scifi or fantasy settings. For example I'd LOVE a new Turok game that stuck to the originals rather than turn him into a gears of war clone.

I've been burnt out on Military Shooters for a while now. Modern Warfare 2 is what killed it for me.

It's not that I don't like the games. I think that Call of Duty and Battlefield get slack for all the wrong reasons. I really do believe that (for consoles, at least) they are two very strong, well designed franchises that can be fun to play with the right people. The only real problem with these games is that they have collectively stagnated due to lack of innovation. What used to be fresh and invigorating is now considered average by most. I just followed suit.

I could not agree more with the Battlefield thing. I've been kind of shy about saying it because I didn't want to incur the wrath of the internet but to me, Battlefield was a game for COD fans who didn't want to admit that they're COD fans. I mean sure, they threw in some vehicle combat but is it *really* that different? As I wait for someone to tell me how wrong I am I may as well get on topic.
I'm not buying them either. I'm also not buying Skyrim. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, it's just that Elder Scrolls game have never really been in my taste. I'm pretty sure the only game I'm getting this month is Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

I won't buy either. Honestly FPS's have become boring to me. I'd rather have a good emphasis on single player with a GOOD story than the multiplayer emphasis that (unfortunately) makes millions of dollars. ;(
