So why the hate for the spy?

I have been playing the xbox version of team fortress 2 and with lag it isnt very fun most of the time.

for some odd reason people keep disabling the spy in the matches ive been in which makes the game nearly impossible to play in especially when your team is out numbered and don't get me started on turrets.

So why the hate on the spy?

no idea, I found the sniper is far too overpowered in the xbox version. I once went 52 kills 1 death in a match as a sniper.

the PC version is where TF2 really shines, tons of new weps, abilities (including compression blast), maps and hats all for free!

there is a small chance that maybe the people who make these matches consider the spy 'cheap' or maybe friendly fire is on (making checking for spies next to impossible).

I dunno if it's all hate for the Spy. Some people just make their own stupid sets and disable the most random classes.

That's why I always host player matches. I have my disables set to 2-per team for each class (except for Demoman and Medic, which is 1-per team) just like the generally excepted setup for competitive TF2.

People hate being killed in a single hit, particularly if they don't see it coming. Hence their hatred for Spies and their backstabbing ways.

Go with the PC version of TF2 instead. I haven't run across a single server that disabled Spies. Moreover, all the new content and updates make it more stable and diverse than the Xbox version.

I gave up on the 360 version of TF2, just didn't find half as fun as when I played it on a friend's laptop... just need a better PC now
