Hello my fellow brethren, looking back on my past few years on the escapist forums, mainly concerning threads I started myself I noticed how my lack of skill and knowledge made me realze that I have come a long way and still have a while to go before I master making flawless and more thought out threads than the primitive and rushed ones I once had a habit of making.

I ask you now to look back and share your time on making threads aswell. For example what was your most primitive thread, how did it go and what improvements might you have made if you had given it more thought?

My first thread was quite... lacking in content, to say the least. It was a thread asking what type of thumb people have.

My last real thread had some discussion value, and was wondering why a child death was worse than an adult's. That went quite well actually. I actually put some thought into it, and it managed four pages.

It was only 2008 but I seemed to have over used commas quite a lot.

My first thread was about using the guide button on an xbox while playing a downloaded original xbox game. No replies.

The second thread I created was more successful, I believe it had nearly 100 replies.

I have stuck to more posting in other threads, of course I still do post some new topics every once in a while.

My most 'primitive' thread was probably the one that asked the question: What's your favourite colour?

That's my most popular thread to date...

Most of my others with a few exceptions failed miserably-ish. Says a lot, neh?

I joined when I was still young and naive (that less than one year ago, how I don't miss you) and learned quickly how not to be. I worked on spelling, punctuation, and grammar throughout my stay, and if I had changed accounts from back then you cold never guess I have become what I am today.

As for threads, I don't make them very often, so I don't have any that stick out. I once posted a quick thing on the news about how Hello Mrs. Robinson went to the top of the Irish charts after the Prime ministers' wife cheated on him with a college kid, only the news I used said it was the queen cheating (even though they have a president) and that it was a Beatles song, no Simon and Garfuncle (or however you spell his name). It didn't go over well.

Another thing I remember is my early days of RPing here, as I was crap. I got better, and am now a good friend to most of the RPers here, but man, back in the old days, you couldn't tell what I was trying to say everything was spelled and punctuated so badly.

Well, my first thread was about how many videos you view on Youtube daily. I just pretend i never made it.

I think my first thread was a VS thread that pitted the Master Sword against the Sword of Omens. It didn't go well.

My most primitive thread was fairly simple.

Which Team did you prefer playing on in Counter Strike, Counter-Terrorists or Terrorists?
It was mainly a difference in weapons, but the game objective was pretty important too I'd suppose...

Nothing special for my first thread, but I'd like to think I've learned a lot about here since then.

Been here for about a year and a half.... been pretty cool so far...

I always try and make sure my threads on any forum have discussion value (or in the case of looking advice then a lot of information on my problem).

Edit: OT, uhm I once posted a thread about a making a forum dictionary on a different forum. I got ripped apart, and rightfully so, it was retarded.

Would you mind linking me to this color thread you made? I am interested to see how well it went.

It was actually my 10k thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.200111-10K-post-Yea-thisll-do] a few months back. I wanted to make a point, and I think I did a good job at that.

I don't even remember my first post thread I made. I think my "500 posts, look at me!" thread was the most stupid on reflection...

Hmm, could you link me to it? One falls behind the times when he is away from the computer all day.

My first thread was on how smart people thought they were. If I could have done that again I would have refined the ideas and poll a bit more, maybe put in a little bit more of an explanation. And on my threads in general I could do with making them more coherent.

Well I actually had another account before, which I kinda forgot, hence this account, so I already had some experience for this account and made no "naive" mistakes whatsoever.
