I would do the usual.

Youtube.
Internet.
Study.

Then one day my best friend would come to kill me...because we said that we would kill each other if we quit gaming.

Don't know if we were serious though. XD

I'd never quit -games- overall. However I am struck by a similar feeling when quitting something like WoW. You've been spending 4-16 hours a day playing this thing, it eats up all your spare time, and suddenly... nothing. A void.

My recourse is to play other games, or perhaps try to get into some show/anime I was lukewarm on in the past. The entire reason a number of people game is that they're introverts. I think 'Well this would be a prime time to join the local Frolf club and volunteer at the Humane Society!' Then I realize it's just not going to happen.

i often border on the edge of this possibility. without my computer, i'd have more time to meditate. but meditation is so damn boring. i'd most likely just end up sleeping till i starved to death. i'd no longer have any reason to be move/be conscious/live.

Join a sports team

while I could do these things now, I feel that I need to really re-jigger my time to get both gaming, work, social life and these things in.

Read a lot.
Watch a lot of TV.
Actually study for finals--I have really good memory so I don't worry much.
Actually learn how to draw.
Remember to eat lunch on a regular basis.
Go outside.
Hang out with friends more often.

Do the only thing I can, learn to program, and make video games.

There's a lot more to making games than coding. Not that anyone would get that from looking at the job listings on developer's websites...according to them it's all coding and marketing.

There are also an alarmingly high number of people that simply dive into game design with no knowledge of computer graphics and programming, not to mention various theories of good game design.

Ultimately, at the end of the day, if you don't have a programmer, you're not going to have a game.
