BioWare bought WAR...?

When did this happen?

I just got a reenlistment offer over email for 14 days, I scrolled to the bottom out of habit, and there was BioWare's name, proud and bold in their beautiful metallic sinew.

Anyone know how/when/why this happened, and what are your thoughts on BioWare being in charge of 2 MMO's...?

I can find no trace of this on Wikipedia, a quick google search or a quick glance at War-europe.com, which still proudly proclaims "Mythic Entertainment" at the top and at the bottom has all the legal "All rights reserved for Mythic, Games Workshop and EA, but not Bioware.

Bioware and Mythic merged ages ago.

Electronic Arts announced on June 24, 2009, that they are restructuring their RPG and MMO games development into a new group that includes both Mythic Entertainment and BioWare. This newly formed team (now called the BioWare Group) will be led by Ray Muzyka, co-founder and General Manager of BioWare. With this change, Muzyka becomes Group General Manager of the new RPG/MMO studio group. BioWare?s other co-founder, Greg Zeschuk, will become Group Creative Officer for the new RPG/MMO studio group. Rob Denton will step up as General Manager of Mythic and report to Muzyka, later becoming Group Operations Officer of the new Group. BioWare?s studios remain unchanged and continue to report to Muzyka.[10]
