I just want to hear your opinions on a little theory I have.

We all know how women complain (my computer is saying complain is spelt wrong, is it?) about the glass ceiling in the work place, how in most cases men have more power or men get paid better than women for the same job.

Maybe 'cos it used to be guys worked and women stayed home, that they get paid better today and women are more social.

I am not sure how true or untrue that is but that isn't the point of this thread.

I think women own most of the power in a social enviroment, they basically control sex (without considering rape), a women can say it just happened and they kind of get let off with it and it's usually blamed on the guy, a guy says it just happened and he is a pig.

Most of the time the guy tries to get the girl, the guy asks the girl to marry him etc

A guy messes up, he's on the couch, she messes up he's round his friends. Before fathers for justice, it was more or less a certainty that the kids would go with there mum in a break up.

I think the only exception to this is sexual partners, a guy sleeps with 100 girls, he's a ledgend, a girl sleeps with 100 guys and shes a bus (everybody gets a ride).

I know I am speaking in general and there are women getting paid better than men and women asking men to marry them but I am speaking stereotypically and generally.

So my question is do you think in most cases girls hold the social power and guys hold the power in the workplace?

As an unbelievably broad stereotype: yes but that shouldn't stop people of both sexes striving for equal rights in both areas.

I am all for equal power, it's just an observation of mine and wanted to know what people thought, since people on here are the smartest I (kind of) know and can be honest with me.

100 girls thats really not a big deal. Wilt now he was a legend... 20,000 women.

Do women have more social power... well, probably... women were always more social by nature. Men were hunters focused on the hunt, women did the hard work and they talked while they worked together a lot... thats one of the theories at least and i think it does hold some truth. Men generally like to keep their feelings to themselves and women are more open.

As for work related, that all depends on their position right?

Sex wise i think you are getting confused, if it just happened then i dont think anyone really cares, stories may be shared but as a general rule of thumb dont shit where you eat and it's not a problem.

I picked 100 as a nice round number, nothing more.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. It still happens in tribes, the woman gather round doing chores and talking while the guys are off killing and training the little lads.

I don't know what bit your talking about in your last paragraph but did you know on ships, before they knew about pathogens they used to shit near there food.
