So, recently Ive been talking to a lot of people and most of them don't want to actually talk to a person face to face, or even on the phone. So many people think its awkward now, or they don't want to face a possible awkward silence, so what do you all think, is that true where you are? Are many of your friends straying from in face or even phone conversation and if so do you think if that continues could it have a greater effect on how we live or even meet people, have relationships, live, etc.?

I hate too much texting and social network sites. Dont get me wrong its great to stay in contact but for some people it becomes the means of socialising not just the auxillery.

I use it to keep in contact and organise things but i hate them, much prefer one text saying "want to hang out" then go meet them. Face to face is much better, to bad the rest of my freinds are too lazy to do anything like that.

I have crappy social skills so I get faced with awkward silence all the time, but I don't think that's an excuse not to try. I go out as much as I can and I'm getting a lot better at talking to people :3

I'm not sure if other people I know are using that as an excuse, but I do have friends refusing to go outside because they "don't see the point" or there's "nothing to do", and they'd rather stay inside playing games. Apparently socialising with friends doesn't count as something to do.

Yea, I mean at least you understand and try, some people are just too scared to do anything about it, or just make an excuse like, "well if texting exists wnhy not use it all the time?"
