Didn't see this as one of the many games in the Escapist Forum Collection, so let's see how it goes.

For those unfamiliar (and to lazy to Google), the Socratic Method is basically the attempt at figuring out something (usually a definition of a grand idea) by asking questions.

So, here's how the SM Game will go. I'll start of with a statement, and the next poster needs to ask a question about it OR ask a question, then answer it (Or, if your answering, you can choose to just answer OR answer and ask a question from your own answer).

EXAMPLE:

Ram: Virtue is doing what's right.
NinjaLovah: How do you do something that is "right?"
Ram: If the actions result in helping or healing someone else, then it is right.
But, what if you help a bad person.
Etc...

So, I hope this works for the best. Please note that this is for some Philosophical fun, so even though I'd rather not have people get hurt feelings from this, I also would rather have a clever or thought out answer rather then see a reply of "because your mom."

Okay, new Rule: First Reserve, check where you are, then answer/ask the poster above you.

The wicked are those that wrong others.
(Quick note, try to keep your questions or statements short, so that everyone can have a Philisophical piece to chew on!)

To Ram:
And what can you define as truly wrong?

J1:
As many of them as you use on a daily basis to determine your actions.

If you shaped your beliefs based on your own thought process and questioning, it is your own.

To Cleril: When I take what is given to me but change it to how I need it, then I have changed it enough to claim it as my own.

What is wrong is that which destroys or causes pain for no reason other then self pleasure.

Okay, I sense a problem here. Should we just Quote those we wish to answer or is it first post/reserve gets to answer the previous person?

And who is to say self-pleasure is not worthwhile?

I say reserve a spot.
Quoting always makes the topic messy.

If what I Need is important to my survival, then it would be unjust to deny me it for I would die.

And who would determine that?

Only one of supreme wisdom.

[sup]I wanted to get this on another track.
I think we ran the other into the ground.[/sup]

But can anyone really claim supreme wisdom?
Different experiences cloud one's judgment in different ways.

Indeed. But those experiences could not be extrapolated to fit everyone's situation.

But what if those individuals of wisdom would contribute to one goal?
A council of wiseman would all give their expertise to a particular situation, the other wiseman covering when they can't figure out a different specific part.
