Awww... Who's going to have hilarious codex conversations in the middle of a fight then? I liked Snake in just for those alone.

sounds logical, especially since Kojima doesn't seem keen on putting MGS on Nintendo systems (aside from that halfassed port of MGS3 on the 3DS). What's really funny is that Kojima then said if Sakurai was listening to the livestream that he should put Snake in SSB. Really, Kojima? Now that's just pathetic.

A bit of a shame, but I figured there was a good chance he would not return. If we are really lucky, we could get another Konami character, Simon Belmont anyone? :D
THIS

I can't even stress how perfect this idea is. Both Simon and Snake started off on the NES and are Konami bros. I'd be a crime to not put Simon in for that reason alone!
Depends on which one though...
They can do 2D sprite Simon, but his moveset might be limited, (I could be wrong though, just look at Megaman) or Simon from Super Castlevania 4.
Whips, whip wiggles, and moonwalks everywhere.
Unfortunately, if they put Simon Belmont in a Smash Brothers game, I have a feeling they'd use his Castlevania Judgement design:

honestly i don't really mind if he does or doesnt come back if he ends up coming back then... I hope its with a slight nerf though he is hard to play as but once people get used to his control scheme he can be quite hard to fight against (granted he needs less of a nerf than meta knight and pit's spamtastic moves)

This... This has never been more appropriate in the history of the internet:

I....ba....that....that's Simon? H-how in the...I'm not even a castlevania fan and i know that's about as far as you can get from Simon Belmont.

To the designer of it, I only have this to say:

Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but I'm not sure I trust Mr. Kojima's statement on this, given...

...recent antics. XD
