Ok dudes help me please.
I need to figure out by tomorrow " how to calibrate a solid stat magnetometer ".
And google is being a douche. I can only find the uber scientific explination.
I need to be able to understand it so I need it in english !
can anyone please help a student out

What it does is that it uses a material to find out how weak or how strong a magnetic field is. When this material is exposed to a magnetic field, it's susceptibility to magnetic fields changes. Because of that change, it allows AC to pass through the material more easily or hard.

Cheers :D now I atleast know what it is, just need to figure out how the calibration process works.

I read solid state, my first thought was the record label, my second thought was of the solid state hard drive. I then read your post and I am left to say WTF? sorry dude you're on your own.
