I'm currently experiencing a really wierd bug with the Escapist. When I open the Escapist in Chrome (browser of choice) after a couple of seconds the whole window starts to tilt to the right and slowly spins around. Needless to say... that doesn't help much.

Figured I had some wierd flash virus or something, so I ran all my virus / malware / spyware programs, nada. Wife tried it, and it works fine on her Chrome. Also works fine in my IE8.

So what's up with MY Chrome? Anybody know?

Thanks

You mean like this?

If so log out and log back in. If that doesn't work I'll send around the cavalry.

That's exactly it, Sevre. I take it that this is a known problem?

I tried logging out and logging in again, I tried closing my browser down completely and killing the process. But when I restarted and logged in again, it started happening again.

Could it have anything to do with that Footar ad system? It shows up on IE (where the problem doesn't happen), shows up on Chrome before I log in (where the problem doesn't happen) but doesn't show up after I log in (when I do have the problem).

Sorry :(

Don't worry, it's not a virus nor an ad that's causing it but a script gone awry. I suggest you log out and view the site that way or use NoScript. I'll ask a Tech Team member to sort it out, sorry for the inconvenience.

So The Escapist isn't going for a spinning newspaper effect? I thought it'd be a good way to improve impact.

That's not Adblock that's the new icon for the Anti-Bear Party. Our bears are the good kind, the antimatter kind.
