So my old Rig is passing away into the land of spare parts and Media centres, And thus i wish to start looking at new shiny parts but alas ive have not been focused on the hardware market in over a good year, meaning i need some advice form the good citizens of the Net.

So, the basics:

1. The Rig should cost overall under 1,000 Euros

2. I already have two Good LDC monitors.

3. Case shouldnt be an issue, We have plently at work and its easy to grease the hands of a tech or two.

4. I can and know how to build my own set up... Mostly, Duct tape is good for cable binds right?

5. As for the range of needs on games, i'd go towards Higher specs, at least being able to play Most games coming out at the end of this year, but aiming for something to Play ArmA 3 on high(ish)

So, what say you?

Enhhhh... not really, ambient heat eventually fucks it up. Zipties are much better.

Have Bohemia Interactive released the final specs for the game yet?

If you're looking for a build on currently available tech, i5 2500K or i7 2600K and either a high end GTX 500 series (570 or 580) or high end HD 6000 series (6950 or 6970).

I've worked with ATI cards in the past, current is a HD 4850, but ive tended to have alot of driver issues with them in the past, what would be more recommended these days Nivida or ati?

Well, nVidia have the edge in power for high end single GPU cards but they're not shy about charging for it. If you're willing to lose a wee bit power to save $100 or so, then go AMD. If you've been unlucky with driver issues it'd probably be worth ponying up the extra money for nVidia.

Great, that really was one of the few points i was hung up on. I swear its easy to pick out some new RAM or Motherboard, but Graphic cards have always been a mild Nightmare, Ta Again.
