Background info

Im not a huge fan of shooters and i generally suck at them.

Im luke warm on stealth games with the exception of Metal Gear and Tenchu a few years back.

I love RPGs but mostly of the bio ware or Japanese type, although i did enjoy Fallout enough to finish it but not enough to buy new vegas.

I have not played any of the prior Deus Ex games.

Currently i am stuck on the second mission trying to sneak into the police dept but I cant even get past the first room and frankly im tired of trying. However i keep hearing how good this game is but im starting to see that im too old to be so damn patient waiting on cameras to move etc. Should i just trade this in and cut my losses or keep fighting through the boredom and frustration to get to the good stuff.

Why don't you just talk to the guy behind the main desk? If done right, he lets you in!

There are a variety of ways to complete the missions in Deus Ex. I'm currently on my first playthrough on the xbox and am going for the "Don't kill anyone in a play through" and "Don't set off an alarm in a playthrough". Making it difficult, but it is VERY rewarding.

When you take a mission, think about the variety of ways you can complete it. If you spend enough time exploring, you can find many different ways to finish quests!
