I just bought Company of Heroes Gold edition, which contains the original and opposing fronts, and it keeps freezing about 10 minutes into game play. My specs check out fine.

Anyone have any ideas about solving this problem.

i cleaned out all the internals. it was really caked with dust. I'll see if that works.

turn down the resolution, open up your case it could be over heating, turn down the detail an AA, close out any other programs you are running IE steam, ie, ff, itunes, etc...

and more ram, change your virtual ram to a higher number.

Do you play many other games? If you do and they have high requirements, it shouldn't be overheating if it's just this game.

Could check with a program like Speedfan though.

Also in my experience overheating just restarts the computer or turns it off, not freeze it.

Check your video card drivers. Every now and then ATI or Nvidia unintentionally throw a wrench in and then have to fix it with a new release.

PC specs would be helpful, too, though I doubt there's anything that would cause something like this that's hardware related. Freezing is usually software adding a spare 1 or 0 that makes PC seizure time happen.

Don't run it in DX10-mode? I've had bad experiences which performance drops in CoH-DX10.
Also, if you could post specs and driver-versions it would be easier to help and going as far as posting a hijackthis!-report if everything else doesn't resolve this isn't a bad idea.

Replace the CD in the disk drive with a piece of bologna.
right... ya know noodles work better
My HP m9520f has one of those 'media drive bays' and I found out that it was allowing hot air to escape, so I filled it with ramen.

The compact flash port is also the exact size of a triscuit. Shame to waste a triscuit though.
