Only 50% finished the game? How can you start a game like that and not finishe it?
by figuring out its consolized?
Would you expand that thought please, perhaps with the use of complete sentences and actual words?
i am just saying that if it wasn't dumbed down for consoles (consolized) more people might have finished it. i hated the complexity of mass effect 1 (couldn't find ACTUAL armor and weapons. i was forced to use shit for my squad.) but hate the simplicity of ME2.
I never play PC games, so I naturally won't know how it is dumbed down. How is it different on the PC, I'm confused :(
from mass effect one to mass effect two it is obvious they dumbed it down for consoles but never bothered to use the PC to its full potential. A lot of people are pissed because the first one was great for the PC but when two came along it was like sim city 4 (the most complex commercial-grade game ever made) to sim city: societies.
damn, more confusion. Anyway I wouldn't know anything about Mass Effect 2 because I have never played it...

How have only 20% used FemShep? Jennifer Hale is a far superior voice actor than Mister Stoic McBoringpants.

I only finished it once, imported my save from the first game: fem shep, whatever the class for a mix between guns and biotics is called. I finished it in about 30 hours.

Gonna play it through again soon though! I hardly ever do that anymore but it is an excellent game. Miles better than the first game which I could barely continue playing but I forced myself to.

Now if only Valve would release some stats for how many times people have finished Half-Life 2.. I am fairly confident nobody in the world has finished it the amount of times I have.. Back when I was a sad teenager with no life I finished it around 35 times before I stopped counting, and since then have finished it a few more times... Somewhere around 40 times overall. I'm not really proud of that =P

I've always gone Vanguard, female and I'm on my I think my 9th play through and I play on insanity difficulty. I'm not surprised at the stats though. ME2 is an amazing game and very hard to put down. Each of my play throughs are about 70 hours.
wow, 26 days of ME2, impressive. What replay values are there because I can never seem to play games through more than 3 times without getting bored.
With Mass Effect the game revolves around choices like your choice of gender, class, lover and mission choices. Each choice has an impact on the game. Like with ME2 if you do none of the loyalty missions and get none of the needed up grades everyone but Joker will die, this includes Shepard. Also playing as different classes changes game play some. The basic story is the same but the small changes make me go back for more Mass Effect.

I totality agree. I love Jennifer Hale's voice. It fits Shepard so much better then the other guy. That's part of why I always go with a femShep.

I guess it's just because I can't really go through a game more than 2 times knowing what is going to happen, the first Mas Effect was still a good game though, regardless.

He's annoyed because the PC got the exact same game the Xbox boys got.

Every gamer is different. I love replaying games that are good. I lost count how many play throughs I have with OoT or Portal. To me BioWare is great with making games with good replay value.

I thought it meant that the controls were simpler or that some game play elements were removed, but how does that effect the PC gaming?

I have to assume the statement was a dig at the simplification of the various systems that some people believe are at the heart of what an RPG is (or, at least, ought to be). I would provide a counter argument that the first game was initially made FOR the 360 and was only ported after Bioware was acquired by EA. It has always been a console game.

To me Femshep sounds the same - monotonous sort of speech - whether it be paragon or renegade. That's all I remember from playing Femsheps. Mark Meer was so much better in ME2, but even then I still think he did a good job in ME1.

I'm willing to call a spade a spade on this, but that's just how I see it.

good to see people enjoyed ME 2 more than me, but if the " bonuses " are anything like ME - ME 2 then F you Bioware....

I finished it once - with a female Vanguard. I'm slowly making progress with a sentinel - it's quite fun, because you're basically invincible - if they ever manage to take your shield down, you can put it right back. If I finish it after this, I'll be surprised.

Oh, trust me. I'll be the first one to picket Bioware if the bonuses are as lackluster as the ME to ME2 bonuses...especially since I was already so hurt by them...over 100 hours of gameplay on the first ME1, exploring every planet, doing every sidequest, getting all the best weapons and mods until I could literally never let go of the fire button because my assault rifle was incapable of overheating, getting damn near every achievement and playing as every type of character...and all I got for it was a boost to my paragon/renegade, some money, and a bunch of resources...oh, and a few extra side-missions and conversations in ME2.

Beauty in the eyes of the beholder seems very fitting right now. Whatever works for you it great and what works for me is great.
Nice avy by the way, very interesting and well done. If I may, who is it?

PC elitists have some sort of misguided perception that they deserve better.
