So I've been RPing an RL/RP account on Twitter for over a year now so I decided I should make a second account thats full RP of a character from a show. It's been about a month and I receieved a lot of criticism (Unknown if friendly or insulting) so I decided to close it and get some pointers first, before making another account.

So can anybody give me any pointers? I was told that I broke off from the character alot so that was the main criticism. Evil is not really my thing (It was supposed to be an evil character). Managing is not the problem.

Thanks for those RPers who can help ^^

I don't really understand how twitter RP would work, but then for me RP tends to be rather long posts...

.. that said, what do you mean by "RP of a character from a show"?

Also, if you want to RP, make sure it is a character you are comfortable playing. I've played some pretty evil characters over the years, but these days I just don't enjoy that type of thing any more, so I stick to "good guy" characters or at least normal ones.

I used to rp over instant messenger, the pace is much quicker than regular forum rping as your not hitting f5 all the time. Trouble with IM Rping is that it's harder to find people who do it, whereas there's whole forums dedicated to rping.

RP over Twitter isn't something that will likely yield much in return. You need to find a community with a strong base, and a lot of people to provide you tips and assistance- as said before, IM RP is of a highly superior quality, with a smaller playerbase, but Forums have more people.

A third way is possible. There are communities who Role-Play in games such as Garry's Mod, with large playerbases and decent RP; while the majority of them are merely unserious, silly endeavors, a handful of communities to provide decent RP.
