Okay it's been like a year or something since it came out......I think. But I want to say the stuff I've been thinking about it. So here we go:

Mirror's edge seemed like an amazing prospect the ability to see parkour/ free running from a first person perspective. This worked immensly well for the first hour or two then the cracks start to show. Runner Vision was a nice idea to point out bits in the in-game world that are climbable and can help you get around the very linear levels, however I found when playing on some chapters eg. chapter 4 or 5 it would light up a pipe that wen I climbed up had nothing to get onto after it, it must've taken me about 3 minutes and a death by random swat spawn to realise I had to go and run up some boxes onto a vent out of reach from a jump of that same pipe......It was pointless to be there/to be pointed out.
In terms of Gameplay it was pretty good animations were smooth the sound was nice and crisp and you even heard the wind rushing past as you jumped from high heights. One thing I personally noticed was that the game on Normal could jump up from a chase that was easily done with a couple of wall-runs to a shoot-out on a rooftop with a guy on a balcony above hailing bullets down upon me, that got annoying! Plus the reflex/disarm seemed late like if I saw a gaurd swing his weapon at me and I hit the grab button as it came down on me I recived a congratulatory smack to the face, usually ending in my death, which did seem inappropriate as getting smacked in the face seems nothing compared to dropping 4 stories to land with a roll and be fine, shouldn't I recive atleast a stumble? Anyway moving on I'm nip-picking.
Cutscene and movie-wise it was brilliant the anime style of cutscenes nicely showed what was going on in the story without adding any unnessisary details. Also the music was nice and strangley eery making it nice to listen to but still creepy at the same time.
Overall Mirror's Edge is a game that can work if you play on the easy setting and if you don't intend on getting the 'Test of Faith' Achievment as it can get rather irritating. Mirror's Edge gives a good experience of parkour/ freerunning from the first person and deserves atleast a rent, ofcourse if you have very little patience and want to get the Achievments get a couple extra controllers, I garentee one will get broken.
