I should say superhumen traits. The Rorschach and Police scene comes to mind. He sprang his ankle jumping out of the build in the comic, in the movie he landed and got up to fight again (doing more than he should have). Adrian was portrayed as having superhuman reflexes in the assassin scene. Just little inconsistencies.Actual said:
That too. What I hate about that is Bioware had a chance to explain the change from Mass Effect 1's overheating to Mass Effect 2's ammo clips. I was pissed off when got picked up a weapon at the beginning of the game and said "There's no heat sync" (or something along those lines), and Miranda just told you "There's one." I was expecting some kind of explanation from Miranda on how the galaxy standard for ammunition changed to heat clips while Shepard was dead or something. And a very, very minor plothole is navigator Pressly saying his grandfather fought in the First Contact War. Judging from his looks, I'd say Pressly is what, in his 40s? 50s maybe? Then why did his grandfather fight in the First Contact war that happened 30 years prior to the events of Mass Effect 1? That always kinda bugged me.
I have tons of ranting to do on the DLC, especially Lair of the Shadow Broker, but I'll stop for now.
God of War 3. Played the first game after borrowing it from a Junior on the bus I rode in high school.(I was under 17 so I couldn't buy it at the time) Was utterly enthralled with the game and was ecstatic to hear they were making a second one.
Loved the second one and prepared myself for an epic conclusion to the trilogy in God of War 3.
Then God of War 3 came out and admittedly while it is a fantastic game the story felt extremely lacking and somewhat phoned in. What ruined it was that whole inclusion of Pandora and drawing parallels between her and Kratos' daughter. They had already dealt with that quite nicely in Chains of Olympus so rehashing it in a different context for God of War 3 took away from the overarching goal of Kratos ripping Olympus a new one.
I wanted God of War 3 to be an all out warpath against Olympus and it started out that way. It started to lose steam towards the end as they rushed to make the Pandora inclusion pay off story wise.
The labyrinth was kinda lame. The whole game they hyped up how badass a maze the thing was and that it was like Pandora's temple from the first game.
The ultimate ending of the game was probably the most satisfying part for me, once you were finally done wrapping up all the Pandora stuff and Zeus was dead.
It was a perfect resolution to Kratos' story, but unfortunately we had all the extra crap tacked onto it that was tossed in for the story of the 3rd game. Ultimately it ruined the experience for me and I think it was a big mistake for David Jaffe to step away from the series after the first game. The use of a different creative director on every game I feel really hurt the series more than it did help it. While the gameplay always had that iconic God of War feel to it, every story felt a little more departed from the original creative direction; and God of War 3 was the breaking point of that. The core story always remained and if they'd stuck with just that I think all the games would have been just as brilliant as the first. Instead because of the constant change in directorship we got the core story with extraneous BS tacked on that was not really needed.

Kratos uses the Blade of Olympus to take his own life, the only act in the entire trilogy that was not part of him being the puppet of one of the gods or the titans

The Watchmen Movie, don't get me wrong it wasn't bad but they should have kept the giant squid thing just to fuck with peoples heads. It would have been awesome.

There's probably a few, but the first that springs to mind is the Silent Hill movie. Granted it wasn't a very good movie on its own merits anyway, but all - the way - through I did not for one second stop going, "BUT THAT'S WRONG. THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. THAT'S NOT MEANT TO BE IN HERE. PYRAMID HEAD, GTFO."
I actually thought that they did a very good job of adapting the comic, I felt for the most part that they stayed true to the story. The Rorschach/police scene I thought worked well, though I do agree that it worked better in the comic. But I can't see a problem with the assassin scene, given that in both the comic and the film he's fast enough to catch a bulletRedEyesBlackGamer said:

But that was what made it so dramatic. How Nite Owl expressed disbelief, something like "even you are only human". So when he actually did it, it was very dramatic. Being portrayed like that earlier in the movie diminished that.b3nn3tt said:

I know what you mean. For example, in Halo: Contact Harvest, there are Brutes. This is supposed to be first contact! If they met the Brutes, why are we told they're a new Covenant race in Halo 2?

Speaking of things destroyed by that abomination... Gambit. I distinctly remember hearing that Gambit wasn't in the first or second because he is such a good character with such a good story, that it would do him a great injustice to be tossed in a few random scenes.
